Step 1: Look at the word. Read it aloud, and listen to the sounds that it contains.

Step 2: Spell the word aloud.

Step 3: Think about the way the word is spelled. Do you notice anything unusual about the word?

Step 4: Close your eyes, and picture the spelling of the word, letter by letter.

Step 5: Copy the word on a sheet of paper.

Step 6: Cover the word with your hand, and write the word again. Check the spelling immediately.
