What You Learn Writing One Hundred Articles in One Hundred Days

It is a bit early for me to tell you all as I have only written 76 articles in my allotted hundred days. But there are 48 days left to write the remaining 24 and already so much has happened that I feel I have to share now. I am a budding writer. All I know so far is that I love writing. I find it therapeutic and am always surprised at what comes out. If you have the slightest inkling to write then you should start and you should consider writing a hundred articles in a hundred days as a way to practice your craft.

You start out wondering what you will write. At first your range appears limited as you stick to your core subject matter. You then start to wonder why some articles are well read and others spark no interest. You look at other popular pieces and then all of a sudden an explosion of possibilities opens up to you. Headlines in the newspaper, something interesting a friend says or a line in a book you are reading all offer attention grabbing possibilities. From that start point off you go and let the pen flow.

The discipline put on you by the target to achieve keeps ideas at the front of your mind. Writing gets easier and you start to understand the pressures and pleasures journalists must get for their copy. Perhaps politicians also as you take any material and instantly form a view. Capture it, conjure it and craft it until it is pleasing to the eye or at least makes sense to you.

You will be intrigued by what people read and what they do not. The title is key and the instant you grab or kill any interest people will have. Then the first two sentences gather your readers trust or rejection. By now your reader is with you or is off in search of satisfaction elsewhere on the web's written world. As each article takes shape new ideas come to mind and threads you need to save until this article is done.

As well as enjoying what you write and learning so much about yourself it will raise your curiosity and you will want to know more. Instant web access fuels your interest with total knowledge growing exponentially each day. Your love of writing will grow and your hunger for more driven insatiably on.

When you see it take up the HAHD challenge and enjoy it like a great day at the fair.
