Life on the Farm
Everyone has his preference for the place where he wants to live, including me. Opinions and options differ for different people. In my opinion, I would perfer to live in the city when I am young, while I would live in the countryside after my retirement.
There are many advantages for living in the city. Firstly, big city can offer us more opportunities compared to the rural area. Young people should be ambitious, progressive and have the target to strive for in order to obtain something to make life more meaningful and colorful. As far as I am concerned, I should exert my ability and make full use of my knowledge and skills because I have studied for many years. Secondly, life is very convenient in the city. Thirdly, we can broaden our horizons and know more people. Therefore, I want to stay in the big city to make my dream come ture.
As we know, life is simple and more peaceful in the countryside, which is appropriate for the seniors. Firstly, considering the environment, people can breathe fresh air, be close to the nature and eat no toxic food. Secondly, the seniors can stay away from the noisy city.
There are also disadvantages for living in the city and on the farm just like the coin has two sides. There is the heavy traffic jam, air pollution, overcrowded population in the city. In the countryside, people there can't be well informed and public transportation is inconvenient.
In my case, choosing to live in the city or in the countryside isn't just about the work but also the happiness, which is why I hope I can work in the city when I am young and live in the countryside after my retirement.
