On My Way Home

A biting wind was blowing in the cold winter evening. After twelve hours' hard working, blamed by my boss for my serious mistakes, I was so tired and frustrated that I walked on my way home like a freezing and trembling sick dog hopelessly and slowly. My home seemed to be far away, but in fact it was just ten minutes' walk.
What a noisy and prosperous lane! There were lots of illegal street vendors selling different kinds of goods on the street. Their noses were red and their lips were cracked because their faces exposed in the cold wind all the time. I could see some vendors and buyers were bargaining fiercely because of several pennies, and some vendors were busy introducing to the buyers how high quality was the goods they sold and teaching them how to use it. The vendors like a bee tried their best to make every business successful in spite of many failures. Suddenly the lane was in chaos .The vendors packed up all their goods in large bags immediately and ran in all directions in a hurry. A police car with its siren wailing was coming! The policemen in the car were dispersing the vendors who would get punished if they were caught. As the police car had gone, the chaos disappeared, and the street vendors came back and began selling goods again.
I was home finally and smelt the scent of my favourite dishes. I knew my mon had already prepared our nice dinner. The feeling of warmth got rid of all my fatigue and complains. Sitting on the table, enjoying the nice meal, and thinking of the vendors on the street, didn't life treat me in a friendly way? Life was not easy but I should be thankful that I was the lucky one who had a stable job in the clean and tidy office and was paid punctually every month; I was the happy one who can enjoy my favourite TV series after dinner on the couch. Who would be willing to be a vendor selling goods in the cold night if life were a litter better?
