My Life in Vancouver
Sometimes life can be tough, but as long as we can be strong and face up to it we can always work the difficulties through.
One significant year of my life was when I was 17 and I studied in Vancouver. It was my first time studying abroad just by myself and it was so difficult at first. After I got Vancouver, I moved into a homestay family. Everything seemed new and strange. After dinner, I can't help being so homesick and I started to cry. Then my roommate came to comfort me. I felt much better after she talked to me. I know that I'm not alone and I have all these nice people to be with me. Then I start to be positive and try to fit in and get used to the life which is so different from china. My homestay family, my school counselor and all my friends were all very nice to me and tried everything they can to help me. I was deeply touched by them; they gave me strength and courage when I was weak and alone.
That was a very special year of my life; I have grown up a lot with all those people's help and support. I will try to be a better person with all these precious memories that they left me.
